Key Responsibilities
Project Execution & Construction Management
- Manage and oversee all civil construction activities for Oil & Gas and Substation projects.
- Ensure construction activities are executed in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, project procedures, and HSE requirements.
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions to achieve project milestones and schedules.
- Coordinate site activities to ensure smooth execution and efficient resource utilization.
Civil Works & Technical Coordination
- Supervise civil works including foundations, equipment foundations, cable trenches, duct banks, control buildings, paving, drainage systems, retaining structures, and associated infrastructure.
- Review construction drawings, method statements, and technical documents prior to execution.
- Coordinate with engineering and design teams to resolve technical queries and site issues.
Manpower and Resource Management
- Plan and allocate manpower, equipment, materials, and other resources to maximize productivity.
- Monitor workforce performance and ensure optimal deployment of resources.
- Identify resource requirements and coordinate mobilization to meet project schedules.
Material Control & Reconciliation
- Manage and monitor civil bulk materials consumption.
- Prepare and maintain material reconciliation reports.
- Track material usage, wastage, and inventory to ensure cost-effective utilization.
Quality Assurance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), Method Statements, and project quality requirements.
- Coordinate and submit Requests for Inspection (RFI) for completed construction activities.
- Close quality observations and ensure proper documentation and record keeping.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Maintain effective communication and coordination with clients, consultants, designers, subcontractors, and internal departments.
- Attend project meetings and provide updates on construction progress, challenges, and mitigation plans.
- Resolve construction-related issues through proactive coordination with stakeholders.
Vendor & Subcontractor Management
- Coordinate with vendors for material delivery, technical support, and site requirements.
- Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and schedule commitments.
- Review subcontractor progress and implement improvement measures when required.
Reporting & Project Controls
- Prepare and submit Daily Progress Reports (DPR), Weekly Reports, and Monthly Progress Reports (MPR).
- Monitor project productivity, progress trends, and key performance indicators.
- Provide management with accurate status reports, forecasts, and recovery plans where necessary.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Ensure strict compliance with project HSE policies, client requirements, and statutory regulations.
- Promote a safe working culture and actively participate in safety initiatives.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented for identified risks.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven experience in Oil & Gas, Substation, or EPC construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of civil construction methodologies, quality procedures, and project execution requirements.
- Experience in material reconciliation, resource planning, and project reporting.
- Familiarity with RFI, ITP, Method Statements, and project quality systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
