Performs a variety of routine and complex administrative, technical and professional work related to the development and implementation of development codes, Comprehensive plan updates, related municipal plans and policies, and day to day operation of the Planning Department.
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Community/Regional Planning or Development, Urban Planning, Public Administration, Economics or Economic Development, or a related field required, Master’s Degree preferred.
Or
Compensable experience in community development or related field may be substituted for formal education on a year to year ratio. For Instance, a qualified candidate with four years of compensable related experience would qualify without a Bachelor’s degree.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Work is performed mostly in office settings. Some outdoor work is required in the inspection of various site development developments and construction sites. Hand-eye coordination is necessary to operate computers and various pieces of office equipment.
