The role covers a wide range of civil works including concrete works, finishing and fit-out works, steel structure works, pre-engineered buildings, and coordination with MEP disciplines, particularly within industrial and commercial facility projects.

Detailed roles and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all civil construction activities and site operations, including concrete works, structural works, finishing and fit-out works, steel structures, pre-engineered buildings, external works, and related infrastructure activities.
  • Lead, coordinate, and supervise site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and construction resources to ensure effective execution of project scope in accordance with approved plans, schedules, specifications, and allocated budgets.
  • Manage construction planning, sequencing, scheduling, resource allocation, productivity monitoring, and cost control to support successful project delivery.
  • Ensure proper coordination between civil, architectural, structural, steel, PEB, and MEP disciplines to avoid interface issues, delays, rework, and clashes during execution.
  • Review and coordinate shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, inspection requests, technical queries, and site instructions in collaboration with engineering, QA/QC, HSE, planning, and project management teams.
  • Monitor construction progress against approved baseline schedules, identify delays or risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain project timelines, especially in fast-track EPC and design-build environments.
  • Ensure all works are executed in compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, relevant codes, standards, quality requirements, and client expectations.
  • Foster productive working relationships with project teams, clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to resolve site-related issues effectively and professionally.
  • Provide clear instructions, goals, and priorities to the project team in alignment with project plans, schedules, specifications, and available resources.
  • Delegate duties and responsibilities to direct reports and subcontractors, monitor performance, and track progress toward successful completion of assigned work packages.
  • Manage and support site inspections, quality control processes, testing requirements, punch lists, handover activities, and close-out documentation.
  • Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies across all site activities, ensuring safe work practices and compliance with company and project HSE standards.
  • Identify construction risks, technical challenges, manpower constraints, material issues, and coordination gaps, and escalate or resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Prepare, review, and present daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, construction updates, look-ahead schedules, productivity reports, and other required project documentation.
  • Set goals and objectives for the construction team and subordinates, monitor progress, provide guidance, and ensure successful achievement of project deliverables.
  • Support project management in budget monitoring, subcontractor performance evaluation, variation identification, and claims-related site documentation when required.

Skills and Job Requirements:
