Duties: Construction Managers are the face of Mammoth Construction in the field and are expected to maintain a professional, personal appearance. They meet frequently with owners, inspectors, and other professionals and are always present to witness the work being performed. This position requires regional travel in a roughly 500 mile radius of Charlotte, NC.
Overseeing and coordinating all the activities of a construction site according to project blueprints and other contract documents
Effective communication with subcontractors, suppliers, and owners
Performing daily quality control and safety checks
Report all safety incidents to the Senior Construction Manager
Accurate and timely reporting of all daily jobsite activity within Construction Management Software
Maintaining a neat, orderly, and safe job site
Inventory and approve all building materials before installation
Conduct on-site and virtual meetings with subcontractors and office personnel
Conduct weekly task specific Toolbox Talks with subcontractors
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or related field; OR at least 15-20 years of applicable experience working for a commercial/industrial general contractor or construction manager.
Ten years’ experience as a Construction Manager, Site Superintendent or equivalent.
Proficient with Microsoft Project or other scheduling software.
Ability to read, comprehend, and explain to others the details within blueprints
Excellent oral and written communication skills
High level attention to detail with a focus on organization, cleanliness, and safety.
Familiar with Procore or other construction software
Punctual: on time, all the time!
OSHA 30 certified or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
