A prominent engineering project organisation is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee and drive on‑site execution across multi-disciplinary industrial and mining projects. This opportunity is ideal for a strong leader with a proven track record in managing construction teams, delivering projects safely, and ensuring high‑quality results within demanding environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all on‑site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Coordinate and supervise contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
Conduct daily site inspections, resolve technical or operational issues, and ensure that construction progress aligns with project milestones.
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other disciplines to interpret drawings, address design queries, and align execution with engineering intent.
Maintain strict compliance with SHEQ procedures and enforce a strong safety culture on site.
Oversee site logistics, material planning, equipment allocation, and construction sequencing.
Prepare and deliver progress reports, site documentation, checklists, and handover records.
Monitor resource utilisation and manage site-level budgets and cost control.
Support commissioning activities and ensure that constructed assets meet the required standards and specifications.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise construction processes and project outcomes.
Proven experience as a Construction Manager within plant, mining, mineral processing, industrial, or EPC/EPCM environments.
Strong understanding of construction management principles, project execution methodologies, and engineering documents.
Excellent leadership, communication, and team‑management skills.
Solid knowledge of safety legislation, site management protocols, and risk management practices.
Ability to manage multiple contractors and coordinate multidisciplinary site activities.
Proficient in MS Office and project reporting tools.
Relevant trade or engineering qualification (advantageous).
Valid driver’s licence.
