Description

Hill International is seeking a Construction Manager to lead an onsite CM team for an owner who is constructing Cement Distribution facility at Sparrows Point in Baltimore, Maryland



Responsibilities
  • Report to the Project Manager, remain full-time, on-site during the construction to provide managerial oversight, administration and coordination of the construction process from conceptual development stage through final construction
  • Serve as the Responsible in Charge representative to the Owner
  • Supervise on-site QA inspectors (civil, structural, mech., elect) & Safety Representative
  • Manage and coordinate multiple Prime Contractors contracted by the Owner
  • Confirm Contractor quality and safety per approved plans
  • Schedule, conduct and record minutes of all Site Meetings
  • Resolve field issues including acting as the liaison and coordinating with design team
  • Administer RFI, Submittal and Testing & Inspections
  • Monitor Schedule and report on variances to the baseline
  • Support the Change Order process
  • Administer and recommend Contractor Payment process
  • Coordinate and confirm Start up, testing and commissioning


Qualifications
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience with infrastructure projects in Construction Management field role
  • Four-year college degree and/or industry credentials are preferred
  • Experience with Project Scheduling, Quality Assurance, Safety Monitoring, Change Orders and Contractor Invoice approvals
  • Strong communication skills
