CONSTRUCTION MANAGER – ELECTRICAL / RENEWABLE ENERGY

An established electrical engineering and construction company is looking for an experienced Construction Manager to lead and deliver large-scale electrical infrastructure projects.
This is a senior, hands-on project role for a strong Electrical Engineer or Technician with proven experience in renewable energy, wind farm and/or substation construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects from inception through to completion.
- Lead and coordinate project teams, contractors and resources.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to specification.
- Manage project costing, planning, procurement and expenditure.
- Monitor budgets and project progress.
- Review and approve project documentation.
- Liaise directly with clients and internal departments.
- Provide technical/engineering input to resolve project issues.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Quality Control standards.
- Manage materials, resources and subcontractors to achieve best project value.
- Prepare progress and status reports for senior management.
Requirements
- BTech / National Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- SACPCMP registration.
- Strong construction/project management experience.
- Wind farm, renewable energy and/or substation construction experience is essential.
- Strong leadership, planning and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational ability.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to travel according to project requirements.
