Construction Manager – Fit-Out

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager – Fit-Out to oversee fit-out construction projects from conception through completion.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, schedules, budgets, quality, and site safety while working closely with the Project Director to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage fit-out construction projects from inception through to completion.
  
• Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with approved timelines, budgets, specifications, and quality standards.
  
• Lead and coordinate construction teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
  
• Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion of activities and milestones.
  
• Monitor project budgets, expenses, resource allocation, and overall cost performance.
  
• Implement and enforce site health and safety procedures and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  
• Work closely with Project Engineers and technical teams to resolve construction and technical issues.
  
• Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, blueprints, and other technical documents.
  
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure work complies with approved standards and client requirements.
  
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, and other stakeholders and provide regular project updates.
  
• Address client concerns and ensure effective communication throughout project execution.
  
• Prepare and submit regular project status reports to the Project Director, highlighting progress, challenges, risks, and recommended actions.
  
• Manage procurement activities, including material requirements, orders, deliveries, and coordination with suppliers.
  
• Monitor material availability to ensure construction activities are not delayed.
  
• Oversee project documentation, including contracts, change orders, site records, and other project-related documents.
  
• Identify and resolve conflicts, site issues, and construction challenges to maintain smooth project execution.
  
• Provide guidance and mentoring to project teams to improve performance and develop technical capabilities.
  
• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality, safety, or project requirements.
  
• Ensure all project activities comply with contractual obligations, approved designs, and relevant regulations.
  
• Coordinate project close-out activities and ensure completion in line with client expectations.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  
• 8–10 years of experience in construction management.
  
• Proven experience managing medium to large-scale fit-out projects from inception to completion.
  
• Strong knowledge of fit-out construction processes, methods, materials, and site operations.
  
• Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers, project teams, budgets, and schedules.
