The project:
Provides civil engineering leadership across the programme, aligning design, construction and technical assurance to deliver integrated infrastructure outcomes. The role focuses on substructure works, stormwater, drainage, flood mitigation and hydraulic coordination, connecting technical excellence with wider network integration and programme success.
You’ll be responsible for:

Your responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership for civil engineering disciplines across multiple delivery packages.
Review engineering designs for compliance with programme requirements and applicable standards.
Lead technical reviews associated with substructures, earthworks, roads, utilities, structures and drainage systems.
Provide specialist technical guidance on stormwater design and flood management systems.
Coordinate technical interfaces between civil and utility disciplines.
Review temporary and permanent works proposals.
Support the resolution of technical design and construction issues.
Manage technical risk identification and mitigation activities.
Monitor technical performance and compliance during delivery.
Works within the project MEP team leading the construction of the MEP services and ensuring of compliance with Mace standards.
Accountable for the construction aspects of the MEP services and management of the site environment, programme, Health Safety & Wellbeing, Quality & Commissioning of the project.
Liaises and coordinates with key project stakeholders, forming strong working relationships with the Client, Consultants, Trade Contractors and other team leaders.
Manages the checking and overseeing of design output to ensure information is clear, achievable, buildable, conforms to preferred methods and is available to enable efficient procurement and construction of works.
Prepares and implements delivery strategies and programmes for all phases of the project, ensuring the key milestones, interfaces, dependencies, logistics and work sequencing are all properly considered.
Develops and implements project specific dimensional control strategy ensuring adherence and delivery of project and strategic key performance indicators (KPIs).
Establishes company & project quality requirements and procedures are implemented and adhered, ensuring quality standards are met.
Manages and contributes to the production of quality assurance information, ensuring standards are embedded across teams and projects.
Manages & provides leadership to team/s and/or project team of Managers and Professionals, ensuring the standards, structures, tools, capabilities and responsibilities are in place to deliver team/project plans and deliver excellence.
Manages technical aspects of project including innovations and technical developments and identifies and implements continuous improvement plans/identifies key business improvements.
Provides performance management, technical development and coaching to team and/or project team.
Manages & influences Key/Senior stakeholders, building key internal/external working relationships. Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering. (or equivalent), Professionally qualified with the Institution of Civil Engineers, Institution of Structural Engineers or similar professional body.
You’ll need to have:
:Degree in Civil Engineering.
Extensive experience in major infrastructure programmes.
Strong knowledge of civil infrastructure delivery and substructure works.
Thorough experience in stormwater design, drainage systems and hydraulic infrastructure.
Experience undertaking technical assurance and engineering reviews.
Chartered Engineer status is preferred.
Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Commercial and delivery awareness within complex, multidisciplinary programmes.
Ability to work effectively in a remote site environment and manage competing priorities.
