Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services & Systems (EESS) Division is seeking a Construction Manager - Electrical to support electrical construction projects and oversee field execution activities across the Northeast and Central regions. Candidates must reside in Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Connecticut, or Vermont and be willing to travel up to 75% to support project and construction activities.

 

Strong preference for candidates with hands-on electrical construction, field service, commissioning, or maintenance experience. Journeyman Electrician, Master Electrician, Electrical Superintendent, Construction Supervisor, or Field Service Engineer backgrounds are highly desirable. Ability to learn and apply emerging technologies related to microgrids, distributed energy resources, and advanced power systems.

 

The expected annual salary range for this role is $97,000 - $156,000 a year. This position is also eligible for premium (overtime) pay, travel per diem, and a company vehicle.

What you’ll do:

  • Strong preference for candidates with hands-on electrical construction, field service, commissioning, or maintenance experience. Journeyman Electrician, Master Electrician, Electrical Superintendent, Construction Supervisor, or Field Service Engineer backgrounds are highly desirable. Ability to learn and apply emerging technologies related to microgrids, distributed energy resources, and advanced power systems.
  • Lead turnkey electrical construction projects from pre-construction planning through commissioning, closeout, and client turnover, ensuring safe, on-time, and on-budget execution.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, contracts, change orders, risk mitigation strategies, and subcontractor performance across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Coordinate with engineering, design, and field teams to deliver constructible, cost-effective solutions while driving productivity and project success.
  • Oversee construction safety, quality, and compliance programs, including QA/QC, JSA development, lockout/tagout, confined space procedures, documentation control, and progress reporting.

Qualifications:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with minimum of five (5) years of electrical construction, field service, commissioning, or maintenance experience. Journeyman Electrician, Master Electrician, Electrical Superintendent, Construction Supervisor, or Field Service Engineer background; OR
  • Associate degree from an accredited institution with minimum of seven (7) years of electrical construction, field service, commissioning, or maintenance experience. Journeyman Electrician, Master Electrician, Electrical Superintendent, Construction Supervisor, or Field Service Engineer background; OR
  • In lieu of degree, minimum ten (10) years of electrical construction, field service, commissioning, or maintenance experience. Journeyman Electrician, Master Electrician, Electrical Superintendent, Construction Supervisor, or Field Service Engineer background
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future. Eaton will not consider applicants for employment, immigration sponsorship or support for this position.   • This role is designated as a Regular Driver per Eaton’s Driver Safety Policy and requires a current, unrestricted driver’s license along with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record. Candidates will be subject to a motor vehicle record check upon hire
  • Submit to periodic customer required background and drug screenings.
  • Successfully complete and maintain compliance with Eaton’s safety program and policy; This includes role-applicable portions of the EESS Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) program and any required annual re-certifications thereafter
  • May be required to submit to periodic customer required background and drug screenings

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Journeyman Certification
  • PMP Certification and/or Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • Field construction experience within electrical infrastructure, utility, industrial, or energy projects
  •  Working knowledge of NERC/FERC, NESC, NEC, ANSI, and NETA standards
  • Experience with Primavera P6 Scheduling Software or Microsoft Project
  • First Aid and CPR Certification
