Morley Moss is looking for an Electrical Preconstruction Manager in Sunnyvale, TX
The Electrical Preconstruction Manager is responsible for leading all preconstruction activities for electrical construction projects, including estimating, budgeting, constructability reviews, value engineering, coordination with design teams, and transition to operations. This role serves as a key liaison between owners, designers, project managers, and field leadership to ensure projects are competitively priced, technically sound, and strategically positioned for successful execution.

· Attends estimating/sales meetings, project meetings, meets with customers/clients to discuss bid status, present proposals, negotiate bids, and present/solve problem issues.
· Performs job walks to observe any field conditions that may affect the construction, impact the prospective bid, and/or pre-construction designs and build services. Meets with general contractors and site personnel, as needed.
· Creates and understands conceptual designs of electrical systems.
· Prepares estimates or budgets using Accubid or Excel Recapitulation sheet with adjustments for project conditions and scope including: material pricing, labor rate, productivity, general expenses, etc.
· Prepares project specific bid proposals describing scope and other requested information. Provides “Value Engineering” cost savings suggestions and alternatives.
· Ensures Company policies and guidelines are followed
· Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; develops and negotiates contracts; integrates contract requirements with business operations.
· Builds market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships
· Follows up new business opportunities and initializes meetings
· Filter out high potential deals by analyzing business strategies, opportunity requirements / pre-requisites / financials, and internal priorities
· Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events
· Develops sales and profit goals that are low risk for the company and ensures they are met

Preferred Education and/or Experience
· BA/BS Degree in construction, electrical design and theory, or degree in related field; and 4 to 6 years’ experience as an Estimator or similar area; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Computer Skills
· Advanced Accubid skills.
· Experience with Bluebeam. (Preferred)
· Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, and other Microsoft Office software applications. The ability and willingness to learn other software applications as required.
