Role Overview
The Infra – Construction Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day site construction activities for infrastructure projects within Al Hamra Zone. The role ensures works are executed safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards, reporting directly to the Infra – Senior Project Manager (Al Hamra). The incumbent will supervise contractors’ site teams, coordinate resources, and enforce compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and HSE requirements.Key Responsibilities
- Site Execution: Manage on-site execution of infrastructure works (roads, bridges, utilities, drainage, STP, landscaping).
- Contractor Supervision: Supervise contractors’ site teams and monitor daily construction progress against schedule.
- Resource Coordination: Coordinate site mobilization, resources, and construction sequencing with contractors.
- Technical Compliance: Ensure works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- Authority Liaison: Coordinate with utility authorities and site teams for tie-ins, inspections, and approvals.
- HSE & Quality: Monitor site HSE compliance and quality control during construction activities.
- Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve site-level technical, coordination, and resource issues.
- Progress Verification: Review and verify contractor’s progress claims and site measurements.
- Support Senior PM: Support the Sr. Project Manager in managing variations, claims, and risk mitigation.
- Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings with contractors.
- Testing & Handover: Coordinate testing, commissioning, and handover of completed infrastructure works.
- Reporting: Maintain daily/weekly site progress records, photographs, and reports.
- Compliance Enforcement: Enforce contractor compliance with approved method statements, RAMS, and permits to work.
- Risk Escalation: Escalate site risks, delays, and resource constraints to the Sr. Project Manager in a timely manner.
- Communication: Deliver clear verbal communication and presentations to stakeholders.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 10–12 years of site construction management experience in infrastructure projects.
- Fluent in English (Arabic is an advantage).
- Strong knowledge of site supervision and construction methods.
- Proven technical expertise and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated site supervision and problem-solving abilities.
