About the Role 

Interior Designer III

The Interior Designer III works in partnership with internal team members and external partners to create functional and inspiring spaces for others to live, work, and play. This position manages project interior and exterior design from concept to installation, within established budgets and schedules.  

Position Logistics

• Primary Work Location: West Fargo, ND or St. Louis Park, MN
• Work Environment: Hybrid
• Work Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8 am - 4:30pm
• Work Type: Full Time (40 hours/week) 

Position Responsibilities:

As an Interior Designer III, you’ll play a key role in bringing thoughtfully designed spaces to life—places where people live, work, and gather. Working closely with our in-house Design Team and a network of talented external partners, you’ll contribute to every phase of the interior design process. From concept development and space planning to design documentation and project coordination, this is a hands-on opportunity to grow your skills while making a real impact.

Responsibilities Include:

• Collaborate with internal and external teams to determine project design goals and objectives 

• Uses architectural & construction plan documents to conceptualize interior and exterior design 

• Collects & distributes design content for creation of virtual renderings, illustrations, and marketing assets 

• Creates digital presentations and/or design boards to visualize finish materials, furnishings, and fixtures 

• Develops interior finish legend & light fixture schedule for common areas, amenity spaces, and residential units 

• Builds design budgets and schedules and manages the documentation of all design activities & expenses 

• Develops & maintains positive partnerships with outside design vendors, consultants, and artists  

• Manages third party contracts and holds contractors responsible for agreed upon dates and terms 

• Coordinates with the construction team on the purchase, delivery, and installation of all FF&E 

• Provides knowledge of future trends, materials, techniques, or other developments within the design space 

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing & executing design concepts in an Interior Design, or similar role 

• 2+ years of experience leading the design process for Commercial and Multi-Family construction projects 

• Bachelor’s degree in interior design or a related field preferred 

• Expert in layout, color, lighting, materials, and FF&E procurement and installation 

• Impressive attention to detail with ability to visualize & translate design style 

• Must have a passion for excellence and a drive to set the bar with unique and innovative ideas 

• Exceptional leader, with experience developing & inspiring other design professionals 

• An independent self-starter who needs limited direction to set & accomplish project goals 

• Proven success in managing multiple design projects & concepts at one time
