We are looking for a full-time Interior Design Intern to join our team! Emplify Health provides a professional internship experience focused on interior design across diverse environments including healthcare, office spaces, retail, and hospitality settings. This program offers expertise in creating purposeful spaces that balance user comfort, functional requirements, and industry-specific regulatory standards.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Support interior design project work including budgeting, space planning, material and finish selections, and documentation updates.

  • Organize and maintain the interior design materials library (samples, binders, digital references).

  • Structure and maintain AutoCAD files to ensure drawing standards and file integrity.

  • Assist with finish schedules, furniture specifications, layouts, and presentation materials.

  • Coordinate vendor samples, track deliveries, and manage returns.

  • Participate in site walks, field verification, and photo documentation.

  • Take meeting notes and track project action items.

  • Assist with signage and wayfinding coordination, including layout updates and vendor communication.

  • Perform additional job-related responsibilities as assigned.

  • Adhere to regular and predictable attendance in a hybrid work environment

What's Available?

  • Internship starting in May 2026 and ending August 2026

  • Schedule: Ideally seeking a student or recent grad that can work 40 hours/week between Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

  • Location: Primarily remote position for residents of WI, MN, IA. Must be within a reasonable driving distance to our office in La Crosse, WI to participate in training and meetings as needed

  • Pay: Our internships offer a wage of $16.40/hour

What Do You Need?

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a post–high school educational program in a related field, including Interior Design or a closely related field.

  • Strong desire to learn and grow in the field.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Work Experience

DESIRED

  • Exposure to design, architecture, or construction-related environments preferred.

  • Experience with AutoCAD required.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Basic knowledge of Bluebeam, Revit, or Adobe Creative Cloud preferred.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Ability to interpret construction documents and floor plans

  • Understanding of finishes, furniture systems, and wayfinding principles

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Adaptability to changing project needs and organizational priorities
