Description

WSP Middle East is seeking an experienced MEP Construction Manager- (Data Centre) to support the delivery of a large-scale data centre project in the Riyadh region.

This is a site-based supervision role, focused on overseeing construction delivery, ensuring quality, compliance, and coordination of all MEP systems from mobilisation through commissioning and handover.This is a full-time site-based role, with the project located approximately 80 km from Riyadh. Regular on-site presence is required.



Responsibilities

Construction Management & Supervision

  • Lead day-to-day site supervision of MEP works across all project phases
  • Monitor contractor performance, progress, and adherence to project specifications
  • Ensure construction activities are executed in line with approved drawings and standards

Technical Oversight (MEP & Mission Critical Systems)

  • Review and approve shop drawings, method statements, and material submissions
  • Oversee installation of MEP systems including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, ELV, and ICT
  • Ensure compliance with mission-critical design requirements (uptime, redundancy, resilience)

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Act as the key interface between client, EPC contractor, consultants, and internal teams
  • Support resolution of technical and site-related issues
  • Attend coordination and progress meetings, providing structured updates
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to QA/QC processes and inspection protocols
  • Verify works comply with project specifications, international standards, and local regulations
  • Support testing, commissioning, and system validation activities

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • Promote a strong safety culture across site activities
  • Ensure compliance with WSP and client HSE policies and procedures
  • Monitor safe execution of works

Programme & Reporting

  • Track progress against schedule and highlight delays/risks
  • Provide regular reports to project leadership
  • Support mitigation planning and corrective actions

Commissioning & Handover

  • Oversee commissioning of all MEP systems
  • Ensure operational readiness aligned with data centre performance requirements
  • Support final handover and close-out documentation


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • 15+ years of experience, with strong exposure to data centre / mission-critical projects
  • Proven experience in construction supervision / site-based roles
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems and data centre infrastructure (power, cooling, ICT)
  • Experience with EPC contractors and large-scale developments
  • Prior experience in the Middle East, preferably Saudi Arabia
