The NEIGHBORHOOD TRANSPORTATION PLANNER (PLANNER III) position will assist in the facilitation of neighborhood multimodal transportation projects in alignment with the City’s transportation goals. These goals focus on creating safe and complete streets as well as overall improvements of the transportation system for all users. A focus of the work will include updating the City’s Vision Zero Plan through a Safe Streets for All Federal Grant and working with neighborhood associations to develop the annual work program for the Sidewalk Master Plan implementation through significant outreach and coordination on locations prioritized through the Plan. Additionally, the position works closely with residents to identify transportation challenges and possible solutions, assists in the development of project concepts, small and large; and assists with partner agency project review and grant development. The position will directly support the Transportation Planning Division Manager and may oversee the Planner II positions or other staff.
Assists in transportation planning efforts developing planning studies and reports in support of new and updated plans, programs and regulations.MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
