As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a skilled Preconstruction Manager to join their team and play a vital role in shaping and delivering successful projects from inception.
The Preconstruction Manager will lead all aspects of preconstruction planning and coordination, working closely with clients, engineers, and internal stakeholders. This role is responsible for estimating, budgeting, scheduling, design analysis, and risk management to ensure each project is aligned for success before breaking ground.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and experienced in alternative delivery methods such as CMGC, Design-Build, or Progressive Design-Build. You will be the bridge between business development, estimating, engineering, and operations teams to ensure clarity, alignment, and readiness across all project phases.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Lead early works packages, design-phase budgeting, estimating, and preconstruction schedules
Collaborate with clients, engineers, and subcontractors to define project scope and expectations
Prepare detailed cost estimates, milestone pricing, and OPCC documentation
Track and manage all preconstruction financials, including invoicing and records
Coordinate schedules and identify risks, constraints, and mitigation plans
Maintain value engineering and innovations logs to optimize cost and efficiency
Oversee review of construction and design documents for consistency and completeness
Develop and manage Risk Registers and Assumptions Logs proactively
Ensure a smooth project handoff to construction and operations teams
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Proven track record in preconstruction management within the construction industry
Preferred experience with CMGC, Design-Build (DB), or Progressive Design-Build (PDB) delivery methods
Strong analytical and planning skills
Expertise in estimating, scheduling, and budgeting for construction projects
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to lead collaborative efforts with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams
Must be able to manage multiple concurrent deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Competitive base salary ($130,000 – $190,000)
