Project Architect

Summit Design and Engineering Services is seeking a creative and driven licensed Project Architect for our Westminster, CO office. This position affords a client-focused leadership opportunity with a growing team of multi-disciplinary professionals working on a diverse array of projects as well as an excellent opportunity for career growth. The ideal candidate is experienced, highly motivated, detail oriented and exhibits a commitment to design excellence as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead project development, design and production throughout all phases of the project
  • Facilitate client, consultant & contractor coordination and regulatory approval processes
  • Development, delegation and quality and budget control of all architectural deliverables
  • Business development, proposal & contracts negotiations and fee generation
  • Integrated Revit modeling and related project document development including plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, code analyses and specifications
  • Ensure project quality and consistency for profitability and client retention
  • Attend meetings with clients, consultants & contractors, and make regular project visits
  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary project team across multiple offices
  • Cultivate and manage new business relationships to support growth in the Mountain West
  • Represent Summit at industry events, conferences, and professional society meetings

Qualifications:

  • Professional Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
  • Licensed Architect in Colorado (required)
  • 5-8 years of relevant professional experience
  • Displayed experience independently managing and producing architectural projects
  • Displayed experience in design, detailing, building systems, codes and construction techniques
  • Displayed experience managing clients, consultants and project budgets
  • Displayed experience with architectural practice and project delivery
  • High proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe CS and MS-office
  • Strong creative, problem-solving and technical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, as well as within a virtual setting.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel as required.

Salary Range: $90,000 to $100,000 per annum*

*Salary commensurate with relevant professional experience & credentials
