Location: New York, NY
Salary: $120,000 – $140,000

The Role
As a Senior Architect (Licensed Architect) in New York, you will lead the design and delivery of large-scale projects across high-rise residential, healthcare, and cultural sectors. This is a key role within a growing office, suited to an architect who combines design excellence with strong technical capability and client-facing leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full design and delivery process from concept through construction

  • Manage client relationships, project scope, schedules, and budgets

  • Coordinate with consultants including structural, MEP, life safety, envelope, acoustics, and AV specialists

  • Oversee the production of drawings, specifications, and BIM models

  • Resolve complex design and technical issues to produce buildable, code-compliant solutions

  • Review RFIs and submittals, and engage with city and permitting officials

  • Mentor and support junior architects and designers within the studio

Requirements

  • Licensed Architect (required) – current U.S. registration

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (Master’s preferred)

  • 10 + years’ professional experience, with project leadership responsibilities

  • Proven experience in high-rise residential, healthcare, and/or cultural projects (performing arts centres, museums, or similar)

  • Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning, materials, and construction techniques

  • Proficiency in Revit (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino or similar 3D software also beneficial)

  • Excellent communication and client management skills

  • LEED accreditation desirable
