Senior Construction Manager - Infrastructure, Civil and Build

The project: We are currently looking to recruit talented and motivated team members to support a number of leading pharmaceutical clients based in Switzerland. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex, high‑profile projects within a regulated and fast‑paced environment. Successful candidates will join a collaborative team and play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of delivering quality, compliance, and operational excellence to clients portfolios, programmes and projects.

Responsible for the delivery of internal fit out packages to agreed safety standards, quality, programme and budget.  

Making operational decisions on sequencing methodology whilst responsible for working with the delivery team to develop detailed and accurate short/mid/long term plans for successful delivery. 

You’ll be responsible for:

• Works as part of the Senior Construction Delivery Team, taking direction from Construction Lead and Project senior leadership team (SLT), providing guidance to wider team. 
• Promoting and driving the businesses priorities through construction to production, digital and data and responsible business. 
• Understanding and formulating short-term plans to deliver to Programme, able to communicate with and coordinate Trade/Subcontractors. 
• Owns safety, wellbeing and quality deliverables for specific sections of the Project. 
• Contributing to establishing and maintaining Health, Safety and Wellbeing culture onsite. 
• Supporting Managers in leading focussed forecast Lookahead meetings, providing authority and guidance where required. 
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with client and design CMT, knowing QA process to final sign-off. 
• Providing comprehensive technical expertise and understanding of Mace onsite standards for each part of the project, where to find them, and responsible for implementation. 
• Identifying and implementing continuous improvement and plans, identifies key business improvements. 
• Developing and maintaining a series of both internal and external relationships.  
• Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work. 

You’ll need to have:

• Detailed knowledge of Construction methodology, process and inherent safety involved in highly regulated industry, preferably in pharmaceutical. 
• +15 years’s of relevant experience.
• Detailed knowledge of digital platforms and how to implement onsite. 
• Detailed knowledge of local standards and regulations. 
• Detailed knowledge of MEP systems, structures and Fit Out. 
• Proven experience in managing multiple large packages of work +50mCHF. 
• Planning and budget management experience. 
• Good understanding of programme, critical path and commissioning Strategy. 
• Professional competencies.
• Recognised accreditation with professional bodies in country.
