As a Senior Design Review & Site Manager, you are responsible for ensuring technical integrity, contractual compliance, and controlled execution across both the design and construction phases of EPC projects.
Design Reviewer Management
- You lead and coordinate the end-to-end design review process, ensuring full compliance with Employer’s Requirements and project performance criteria.
- You critically assess multidisciplinary design deliverables (civil, structural, MEP, and process engineering) and ensure technical consistency and interface alignment across all disciplines.
- You manage technical queries, design changes, and clash resolution, while proactively identifying and mitigating design risks, deviations, and non-compliances.
- You act as the central interface between engineering teams, external design offices, and client representatives, consolidating inputs and supporting the formal design validation process.
Objective: Deliver a fully validated, coordinated, and constructible design package with minimized technical and interface risk.
Construction Site Coordination
- During project execution, you coordinate day-to-day site activities across project locations in France within a single-point responsibility EPC setup.
- You oversee contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring execution in line with approved design documentation, technical specifications, and project schedules.
- You actively monitor progress against the critical path, support resource planning, and contribute to schedule optimization.
- You enforce strict adherence to Health & Safety standards and ensure compliance with applicable national regulations. In addition, you oversee on-site quality assurance and ensure that all works meet defined technical and contractual requirements.
- You lead or support testing, commissioning, and Taking Over processes, ensuring operational readiness and structured handover.
Objective: Oversee construction activities, ensure safe, compliant, and schedule-driven execution with full alignment to EPC deliverables.
Contract & Compliance Management
- You operate strictly within an EPC / FIDIC (Silver Book) contractual framework, ensuring adherence to all contractual procedures, communication protocols, and obligations.
- You identify and assess risks, deviations, and potential claims at an early stage, issuing the required notices and ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.
- You maintain accurate and auditable records of site activities, progress, and contractual correspondence.
- You work closely with project management and contract management to ensure transparent reporting and effective escalation of contractual or commercial risks.
Objective: Safeguard the project against claims exposure, cost overruns, and delays through rigorous contract and risk management.
Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- You act as the central coordination point between internal technical disciplines (engineering, QA/QC, planning), contract management, and external stakeholders including contractors and design partners.
- You ensure structured communication, alignment across interfaces, and timely escalation of critical issues within an international project environment.
Objective: Maintain full alignment between internal stakeholders and external contractors to support efficient and controlled project delivery.
A posssible pathway to Site / Plant Management
This role offers more than technical responsibility. It might be an opportunity to grow towards a Site or Plant Manager position, taking ownership of industrial operations over time.
