RQ Construction is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Preconstruction Manager to oversee and drive electrical preconstruction efforts across multiple projects and business pursuits. This role is based out of our Jacksonville, Florida office and is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and development of electrical scopes from the earliest stages of design through project turnover to operations. The position plays a key role in ensuring electrical systems are thoroughly defined, properly coordinated, constructible, and aligned with overall project objectives.

Working in collaboration with Estimating, Design, Operations, and senior leadership teams, the Senior Electrical Preconstruction Manager will support project pursuits through scope development, design management, budgeting, scheduling, procurement strategy, and risk assessment. This role will also contribute to value engineering initiatives, support large-scale project pursuits, assist in mentoring preconstruction personnel, and help drive continuous improvement and best practices throughout the electrical department.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $125,000 - $130,000

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field required; equivalent work experience and training may be considered
  • Additional education or training in project management, construction management, electrical trade programs, BIM, or CADD preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience within the electrical industry required, including at least 5 years serving as an Electrical Project Manager or in Electrical Preconstruction
  • Experience preparing conceptual estimates and coordinating the design of electrical and telecommunications/data systems strongly preferred
  • Previous experience supporting design-build government, military/DoD, or large-scale commercial construction projects preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams preferred
  • Experience with McCormick, Bluebeam Revu, P6, Autodesk Cloud, or similar construction software platforms required
