Overview:
A recognized leader and licensed Architect who is responsible for envisioning, designing and delivering exceptional projects for clients. Possesses strong communication skills, a flexible attitude, ability to solve problems creatively and ability to foster and manage effective client relationships. Responsible for high-impact decisions. Provides technical leadership and acts as an advisor on projects. Endorses the firmβs values by personally influencing client service, innovation and communication. Acts as subject matter expert for technical solutions.Responsibilities:
Leads team and other Project Architects in planning work and developing solutions to technical and design detail problems
Collaborates with PIC/PM in defining project work plans and developing and managing the production schedule, including effectively defining and meeting deadlines
Leads the creation and modification of complex detailed implementation documents to incorporate the design intent, using diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices and advanced techniques
Leads development of code analysis and confirms code and zoning requirements for assigned segment of project are met
Supervises the preparation of documents by architectural team, including verifying implementation documents conform to QA/QC and HKS standards, best practice and quality expectations
Manages the technical resolution and coordination for the project
Writes reports or specifications for assigned project
Prepares client presentations and presents design concepts and drawings
Maintains open communication with client and provides guidance through projects
Coordinates with PM, clients, public agencies, consultants and contractors to incorporate engineering systems, respond to requests for information, clarifications and modifications, and obtain approvals, negotiations and adjusting scope of services
Communicates with client representatives to verify design requirements and specifications, progress reviews and delivery of final presentation
Exercises skills of persuasion and negotiation on critical issues
Oversees consultant team work sessions
Oversees product research; assists project designers with material and system evaluation to make proper selections
Maintains awareness of risk management for potential project issues and involves PIC/PM if needed
Participates in team meetings to discuss project issues, technical issues and coordination with other disciplines
Attends on-site visits, field reviews and project meetings and documents as needed
Responsible for preparing and/or reviewing meeting minutes for consultant coordination meetings
Travel will be required

Advanced β expert-level experience, knowledge or skills
Intermediate β experience, knowledge or skills required to produce high-quality solutions or work
Basic β familiar with primary concepts or capabilities and may perform elementary functions depending on role
