Reporting to the Transportation Manager, you will serve as a Senior Transportation Planner providing flexible, onsite coverage across Grocery & Snacks and Refrigerated & Frozen transportation planning teams. You will rotate between teams based on business need, stepping in to support daily execution, complex planning activities, and coverage gaps. This role is designed for an experienced planner who can adapt quickly, provide subject matter expertise, and support continuity of operations during periods of shifting demand.
A Taste of Your Responsibilities
Execute end‑to‑end transportation planning activities to support daily shipment execution for customer and stock transfer orders
Optimize load factors, select appropriate transportation modes, and ensure route guide compliance to support service and cost objectives
Serve as a primary point of contact with customer service, warehousing, and inventory deployment partners to resolve carrier failures and service disruptions
Use transportation systems and reporting tools to identify scheduling, on‑time delivery, and carrier performance issues and take corrective action
Provide coverage for Grocery & Snacks and Refrigerated & Frozen planners during planned and unplanned absences
Support seasonal volume increases, project‑driven demand, and quarter‑end execution and reporting needs
Train and mentor new Transportation Planners, providing guidance on systems, standard processes, and best practices
Act as a subject matter expert for transportation tools, including Oracle Transportation Management and Palantir
Contribute to cross‑functional initiatives and assume complex planning responsibilities as needed
Demonstrate flexibility as team assignments and priorities may change daily or weekly
Ingredients Required for Your Success
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field preferred
Three or more years of transportation, logistics, or related experience
Working knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Oracle Transportation Management, and SAP
Strong understanding of transportation concepts, terminology, and planning processes
Proven problem‑solving and decision‑making skills in a fast‑paced environment
Experience partnering with cross‑functional teams, including customer service, inventory deployment, warehousing, and project teams
Prior experience training or mentoring employees on transportation systems, processes, and reporting tools
Compensation
Pay Range:$63,000-$93,000The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
