Solar Project Construction Manager

The Solar Project Construction Manager plays an integral role in the renewable energy project construction sector, overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of solar energy projects. This position involves coordinating with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and team members, to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specified quality standards

This position is an onsite/hybrid role in Grand Junction, CO area

What you'll you do:

In this role, you’ll take the lead on solar and BESS installation projects from start to finish. That means working closely with clients to understand their needs, planning and coordinating every phase of the project, and making sure everything runs smoothly, on time, and within budget.

You’ll manage procurement of key equipment like solar panels and inverters, and you’ll guide a team of engineers, construction professionals, and subcontractors to bring each project to life. Along the way, you’ll ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, keep a close eye on budgets, and help identify and manage any risks that come up.

When a project wraps up, you’ll lead the close-out process—making sure all documentation is complete, evaluating the project’s success, and capturing lessons learned for the future.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, renewable energy, engineering, project management, and environmental science or equivalent technical degree/experience
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in solar and BESS System project planning, execution, and oversight is crucial
• Budget management, team leadership, and communication skills
• Unquestioned business and personal integrity

Preferred Qualifications:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) PV Installation Professional certification

Benefits & Salary:

• This position pays between $120,000 and $145,000 annually and is an exempt position.
• Benefits offered include company sponsored medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match. Also offered are tuition reimbursement, voluntary life, disability, critical illness, accident and hospitalization plans. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually.
• Full time employees are eligible to earn PTO hours.
• May be eligible for discretionary bonus as determined by the company.
