Team Lead and Chief Construction Manager

The Project involves the construction and upgradation of Schools and Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) aimed at strengthening education and skill development infrastructure. The Design and Supervision Consultant (DSC) is responsible for design, procurement support, and construction supervision.

In view of multiple sites, and the need for enhanced construction oversight, the Chief Construction Manager who at the same time the Team Leader shall ensure effective coordination, quality control, and timely completion of works in compliance with contractual, technical, and safeguard requirements.

The Team Lead & Chief Construction Manager shall perform, the following functions:

1. Construction Planning, scheduling and Monitoring
2. Site Supervision and Coordination
3. Quality Assurance and Technical Compliance
4. Environmental, Social, Health and Safety (ESHS) Compliance
5. Monitoring and Reporting
6. Deliverables (MPR, QPR, APR, site inspection etc.)

Educational Qualification
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory);
• Master’s Degree in Construction Management/Project Management is desirable.
Professional Experience
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in construction supervision of building
projects;
• At least 5 years in a similar role (Construction Manager/Resident Engineer/Project
Manager);
• Proven experience in construction of institutional buildings, preferably Schools, Colleges,
or ITIs;
• Experience in externally aided projects (ADB/World Bank/JICA) is highly desirable;
• Demonstrated experience in contract administration, claims, and variation management;
• Experience in implementing ESHS standards in construction projects.
• The resource should not be above 55 years
