Telecom Construction Manager (MI)

RLM Underground is expanding our footprint in Michigan, and we’re looking for experienced Telecom Construction Managers to lead our field operations with precision, integrity, and a commitment to excellence.

About the Role:
As a Telecom Construction Manager, you’ll oversee all phases of utility construction for fiber and telecom infrastructure projects. You’ll coordinate and manage production crews, ensure safety compliance, and deliver projects on time and within budget. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, field-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities across multiple job sites
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and quality standards
• Interface with clients, municipalities, and utility companies
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies
• Review and interpret blueprints, permits, and construction documents
• Track project progress and provide regular updates to leadership
• Mentor and support field crews and subcontractors

We're looking for long-term, full-time W2 Construction Managers. The role comes with a company truck, a fleet fuel credit card, an iPad (or laptop if preferred), and a phone stipend. We also offer per diem for individuals staying overnight outside of their hometown for work. 

In addition to salary, following 90 days of employment, our CMs are eligible for production based bonuses.

 Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience managing telecom construction projects
• Strong knowledge of fiber optics, coax, directional drilling, and underground construction
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within Michigan
