Transportation Planning

Reporting to the Transportation Manager you will assign shipments to carriers using transportation management system. You'll monitor appointments, pickups, deliveries, and trailer pools. Help with carrier engagement, resolving issues, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders. You will play an important part in analyzing and interpreting performance metrics, identifying service issues, and collaborating with multiple teams to resolve them. You will exhibit a continuous improvement mindset and make recommendations to improve existing processes while providing support for various implementation plans.

Position Responsibilities

  • Assign and tender LTL and TL shipments to carrier base using OTM.
  • Monitor shipments and assist customer service by ensuring on-time delivery to customers.
  • Engage with carrier partners and internal stakeholders to maintain and improve on-time performance.
  • Support shipping locations with carrier communication, trailer pool coordination, rush shipment arrangements, and problem resolution.
  • Engage with multiple teams and sites for feedback and resolution by MS Teams, phone call, or in-person meetings.
  • Analyze existing shipping processes for possible improvements and provide support for implementation.

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree OR 3+ years of applicable experience.
  • Understanding of business and transportation terms and concepts.
  • Ability to solve unexpected problems and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Basic understanding of interpreting data in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
  • In the Omaha office 3 days per week, Tuesday – Thursday

Compensation: 

Pay Range:$59,000-$78,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
