Transportation Planner - Temporary Position

Darigold is actively seeking an experienced and motivated Transportation Planner to join our team. This position will collaborate and partner closely with Customer Service, Sales and Transportation teams to facilitate the transportation execution process. This is a temporary position.

What You Will Do:

• Work closely with Customer Service, Sales and Transportation departments to facilitate the transportation execution process.
• Tender loads to specific carriers within Transportation Management Software (TMS).
• Build loads in TMS.
• Assist with dock scheduling.
• Order consolidation and mode optimization.
• Shipment exception monitoring.
• Track and trace shipments.
• Provide after hours, weekend and holiday coverage as needed.
• Development and maintenance of process documentation.
• Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 What You Bring:

• High School Diploma.
• 2 years of experience in logistics/manufacturing, procurement or supply chain is preferred.
• Strong proven business acumen.
• Work independently while contributing to a team environment.
• Proactively identify and act on problems before issues occur.
• Apply critical thinking skills to analyze and resolve complex problems.
• Excellent communication, both verbal and written.
• Possesses a guest service mentality; has a genuine desire to serve the customer.
• Energetic, innovative and flexible.
• Maintains a calm, tactful demeanor when dealing with difficult situations.
• Manages multiple projects and timelines with a sense of urgency.
• Well organized and detail oriented.
• Identifies additional tasks to be completed and willingly assists others.
• Proficient with MS Office suite and other work-related software.
• Experience with TMS is preferred.

• Compensation range: $78,000 - $98,412 (individual wage based on previous experience, knowledge, and skills)
