Main tasks are the following:
In ITO
· Prepare tender documents related to HVDC/ACS/FACTS Project Construction and Pre commissioning.
· Lead the definition of contracting strategy (sub-con / partner) and its development with clear division of responsibility and application throughout ITO phases with support from EHS, Quality, Planning & Sourcing,
· Support and participate in accurate should cost for construction scope & technical analysis of subcontractors/ consortium partner to support sourcing negotiation.
· Actively participate to project teams from feed stages all the way through completion.
During OTR
· Ensure efficient and adequate design concept. Applying constructability review to ease construction.
· Manage the project’s construction scope and management of subcontractors and/or consortium partners.
· Ensure the consistent application of the defined contracting strategy.
· Ensure the timely definition and issuance of sub-contracts with EHS, Quality, Planning, Contract Management & Sourcing support.
· Ensure integration of Customer EHS requirements in project specific EHS procedure with EHS Lead support.
· Responsible for managing the risks and opportunities related to Construction activities.
· Responsible for preparation of staffing plan, mobilization of site teams & follow up of actuals vs. plan.
· Liaise with design office for timely issuance of data required for preparation of site works (specs, designs, BOQ, material lists, …),
· Manage the sites teams to ensure performance standards, project objectives, policies and procedures are met.
· Ensure the team has the right level of know-how and competency to perform their responsibilities through coaching and development.
· Demonstrate EHS leadership and ensure STOP WORK POLICY is implemented within the team.
· Ensures application of GE GSI EHS Policy and procedures in all site activities.
· Participates in EHS Gemba walks and leads EHS improvement initiatives on the sites under its responsibility.
· Actively and routinely promotes the identification of hazards and near misses to their teams.
· Comply with Quality Procedures, work instructions and Processes.
· Report or resolve any non-conformances and process in a timely manner.
· Put in place Site procedures to ensure that Site Works will be conducted to the satisfaction of the Customer, to the level of GE GSI standards.
· Ensures collection of key information on sites for preparation of lesson learned ‘LL” for use on future projects.
· Provide timely status and metrics of sites activities performance within the project:
· Prepare Monthly construction reports reviewing KPIs
Required Qualification
· Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university
· 15+ years experience in (EPC) Large capital High Voltage GIS, SVC and HVDC projects.
Desired Characteristics:
· Project management Certification PMP.
· Solid experience in Building Services, electrical works, and commissioning.
· Experience in overseeing and managing US construction site.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $114,100.00 and $190,200.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
