Job Description

Interplan is a commercial architectural and engineering firm with over 50 years of experience specializing in restaurant and retail design for large nationwide clients. With offices in Orlando and Chicago, our Orlando office is expanding, and we are seeking a talented Architectural Project Manager to join our team!


Responsibilities

  • Design and produce architectural construction documents and specifications for small to medium projects/programs with full ability to work through technical construction detailing for new, ground-up projects
  • Delegate, review, and accept responsibility for the work of CAD Drafters, Project Coordinators, and Project Managers that you supervise 
  • Self-perform tasks to support the progress of your team as needed.
  • Assist with billing, CA, budgeting, and other supporting tasks
  • Coordinate with adjacent disciples and be the communicator on the team, keeping everyone appropriately and relevantly informed
  • Assist in the development of Proposals by creating a clear scope of work, demonstrating awareness of project requirements as well as forecasting project timelines, and coordinating with fees commensurate to scope and timelines
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications & Prior Experience

  • 6-10 years of experience working on commercial architecture projects with an emphasis on restaurant and retail sectors preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, Great attitude, ready to hit the ground running
  • Ability to work independently while able to respect and support the team
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes
  • Software requirements: Revit(ability to generate Models/Families and modify existing Models with an advanced/ mastery level of competency), AutoCAD (advanced level of competency), and Microsoft Office (advanced/ mastery level of competency). Photoshop and Sketchup are a plus.
  • Licensure or path to licensure is not required but a plus. We will aid in satisfying IDP/AXP requirements and we pay for licensing exams upon successful completion during tenure at Interplan.
  • Knowledge of SMPE systems and the ability to coordinate SMPE within project parameters is a must
  • Client communication and interaction is required
  • Position is full-time in-office, with the ability to travel as required for work preferred
