Assistant Construction Manager
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist the construction manager and/or trainer in managing all aspects of residential construction projects
- within the private home collection, including scattered infill lots, from initial planning to final completion.
- Collaborate effectively with the Construction Manager and/or Trainer to communicate with homeowners,
- demonstrating a proactive approach to addressing their concerns and ensuring a positive experience
- throughout the construction process.
- Work closely with the Construction Manager and/or Trainer to liaise with municipalities, navigate permitting
- processes, utility connections, and other regulatory requirements, and ensure compliance with all relevant
- codes and regulations.
- Support the Construction Manager and/or Trainer in coordinating subcontractors and vendors, ensuring timely
- work completion and adherence to quality standards.
- Assist in maintaining detailed project documentation, including budgets, schedules, and progress reports,
- under the guidance of the Construction Manager and/or Trainer.
- Aid in ensuring strict adherence to project timelines and budgets, receiving guidance from the Construction
- Manager and/or Trainer, and promptly identifying/reporting any issues or delays.
- Accompany the Construction Manager and/or Trainer on regular site visits to monitor progress, learn to
- address on-site issues, and observe compliance with safety protocols.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including design, procurement, and construction, under the direction of the
- Construction Manager and/or Trainer to ensure seamless project coordination and execution.
- Provide support in providing regular updates to senior management on project status, with guidance from the
- Construction Manager and/or Trainer, highlighting any risks or opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in overseeing warranty services and customer care for completed homes under the mentorship of the
- Construction Manager and/or Trainer, ensuring timely resolution of any issues or concerns.
- Demonstrate a proactive attitude towards learning and development, actively seeking opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in residential construction with guidance from the Construction Manager and/or
- Take initiative in seeking feedback and guidance from the Construction Manager and/or Trainer, striving for
- continuous improvement and growth within the role.
- Show dedication and commitment to excellence in job performance, with the understanding that hard work
- and effort will lead to opportunities for advancement within the company, guided by the Construction Manager
- and/or Trainer.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in construction management or related field experience is a preferred, or a combination of experience and education
- 1+ years of experience in residential construction preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Knowledge of general construction.
- Must be computer literate in Excel, Word, Windows and etc.
- Must have the ability to work in a very fast-paced industry and run multiple jobs that are in different phases of construction, at once.
- Ability to multi-task, which requires strong organizational, and communication (written and verbal) skills, and must be able to pay attention to detail, time management, and quality.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to perform regular site visits.
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday, standard daytime hours; 8:30 am - 5 pm
Job Type:
- Full-time position, averaging 40 hours per week

- Greenville, NC: Ability to reliably commute or willingness to relocate before starting work (required).
Work Environment:
- Office-based environment with a business casual dress code. Standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets, are used in this role.
