The Role: Construction Project Manager [PMP and or SACPCMP (Pr. CPM)]

The purpose of this role is to lead and manage construction projects from the initial planning phase through to final completion. It contributes to the business by ensuring projects are delivered within defined scope, budget, and schedule while maintaining compliance with safety and quality requirements. The main focus areas include project planning, budget management, contract administration under NEC frameworks, and stakeholder coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in construction project management.

  • Plan, execute, and manage construction projects within defined scope, budget, and schedule.

  • Develop and implement method statements and Quality Control Plans in line with industry standards.

  • Create and manage detailed project schedules using MS Projects to ensure alignment with milestones.

  • Administer projects under NEC contracts, ensuring compliance and effective change management.

  • Prepare and manage project budgets, track costs, and report on financial performance.

  • Lead negotiations on contracts, pricing, and variations with suppliers and service providers.

  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

About You

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in construction project management.

  • Professional registration with PMP and or SACPCMP (Pr. CPM) is required.

  • Engineering or Project Management related degree or diploma.

  • Proven experience managing medium to large-scale construction projects.

  • Solid understanding of NEC contracts, construction methods, and regulatory frameworks.

  • Proficient in MS Projects, MS Office, and document control systems.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
