Position Overview
The Construction Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction and renovation projects for the company’s retail stores. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety, regulatory, and quality standards. The Construction Manager will work closely with architects, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to support the company’s growth and brand consistency across all locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end construction projects, including  remodels, lab facilities, and office expansions.
  • Develop project timelines, budgets, and scopes of work, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Oversee bidding, selection, and management of contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Review architectural drawings, engineering reports, and specifications to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
  • Coordinate permitting, inspections, and compliance with local, state, and federal building codes if needed.
  • Monitor construction progress, conduct site visits, and resolve issues to keep projects on track.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (operations,  IT, facilites, and marketing) to align construction with business needs.
  • Manage project reporting, documentation, and communication with leadership.
  • Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulations.
  • Develop network of contractors and builders, what states they are licensed in creating database of services and specialties

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience managing construction projects of various types from simple renovations to full scope permitted renovations
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, codes, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with project management and construction software, AutoCAD experience helpful
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
