Job Overview

Soaring Summits Group (Pty) Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Construction Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of a major EPC/Turnkey infrastructure project. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that construction activities are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with contractual, quality, and regulatory requirements.

 

Immediate Start Preferred: We are seeking a motivated professional who can join our team as soon as possible. Candidates who are immediately available or able to commence employment within a short notice period will have an advantage.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage all construction activities on site.
  • Develop and manage project programmes using MS Project.
  • Lead and supervise site teams, subcontractors, and project resources.
  • Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions where required.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Manage project risks, budgets, and contractual obligations.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare monthly progress and performance reports.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements

  • B.Sc., B.Eng., or B.Tech qualification in the Built Environment.
  • Professional registration with the SACPCMP as a Professional Construction Manager (Pr.CM) or Professional Construction Project Manager (Pr.CPM).
  • Minimum 8 years' project and construction management experience (10 years' experience will be advantageous).
  • Proven experience in EPC/Turnkey, water infrastructure, or heavy civil engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts, MS Project, construction planning, and project execution.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • South African citizen or valid work permit.
