  • Provide clear, inclusive, and inspirational leadership, fostering a high-performing and engaged team culture

  • Take accountability for significant capital and operational budgets (~£30m Capex), ensuring delivery against cost, quality, and timeline objectives

  • Act as the central point of coordination for all construction activity across the UK network

  • Build and manage strong relationships with internal collaborators, strategic partners, and external contractors

  • Oversee contractor performance, ensuring compliance, safety, and delivery standards are consistently met

  • Ensure robust governance and assurance processes, including documentation, audits, and regulatory compliance

  • Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and efficiency across construction delivery

  • Contribute to the development of long-term construction strategies, contractor frameworks, and delivery models

  • Provide regular performance reporting, identifying risks and implementing appropriate mitigation actions

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone who combines technical expertise with strong, people-focused leadership.

Essential Experience

  • Significant experience delivering complex construction projects (essential)

  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams

  • Strong stakeholder management skills across internal and external networks

  • Experience operating in safety-critical environments, with demonstrable HSE leadership

  • Proven track record managing contractors and third-party suppliers
