Job Description

As the Construction Manager, you will oversee the development of multiple distribution-scale solar projects. You will be responsible for ensuring these projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with organizational standards. You will manage construction crews and subcontractors, maintain schedules, ensure quality control, and resolve issues as they arise. 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development of multiple high-profile distribution-scale solar projects.
  • Ensure that all aspects of the construction process—safety, quality, and scheduling—are managed effectively.
  • Lead and manage construction workers and subcontractors, setting the example through innovative and sound decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules. Ensure timely execution of tasks by closely monitoring progress and resolving issues proactively. 
  • Review work processes on a daily basis to ensure compliance with project goals, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Work closely with teams across development, engineering, procurement, and construction, ensuring smooth coordination and clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain high standards of quality control, conducting regular inspections and addressing any discrepancies that arise.
  • Identify potential obstacles or delays and take quick action to resolve them to keep the project on track.
  • Provide on-site management and support, ensuring all work is performed to spec and on schedule.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in distribution-scale solar projects, with a solid understanding of solar energy systems.
  • 3+ years of experience in construction management, ideally in the solar or energy sectors.
  • A degree in energy, engineering, or construction management, or an equivalent background, is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct construction crews and subcontractors, as well as communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and pivot when necessary.
