Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Construction Manager to oversee the successful delivery of large-scale construction projects in Cape Town. This is an excellent opportunity for a results-oriented professional with strong leadership capabilities, exceptional project management skills, and extensive experience within the built environment, particularly on multi-storey residential developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, update, and manage project programmes, timelines, and milestones.
- Oversee project budgets, cost control, procurement, and scope management.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and the professional team.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and design requirements.
- Monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance across all site activities.
- Prepare project progress reports, management reports, and contractual documentation, including EOT notifications and claims.
- Lead site meetings and maintain effective communication with clients and stakeholders.
- Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop site personnel while driving high performance.
- Ensure quality assurance documentation, testing, and site records are maintained.
Minimum Requirements
- Registered SACPCMP Pr.CM.
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- National qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Technical Certificate or Diploma in Construction.
- Qualification in Health, Safety & Environment Management.
- 8–10 years' experience in the construction industry, including at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Proven experience managing multi-storey residential construction projects.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, procurement, cost control, and financial management.
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
