Fantastic Career opportunity for a hardworking construction manager with great leadership skills based in the Western Cape to work a 6 month contract with the potential to go permanent based on performance.
Duties & Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate construction projects, including schedules, resources, budgets, and risk management.
Oversee daily site operations across multiple projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, within specification, and to quality standards.
Manage subcontractors, site managers, supervisors, and project teams to ensure productivity and accountability.
Monitor project progress from planning through to commissioning and handover, ensuring compliance with contractual and legal requirements.
Control project costs, procurement, and resource allocation while evaluating supplier and subcontractor performance.
Resolve technical, operational, and logistical issues that arise during construction.
Maintain accurate project documentation and provide regular progress reports to stakeholders.
Lead multidisciplinary teams, communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, and negotiate or resolve project-related disputes.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Matric
BEng or BSc Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Project/Construction Management qualification.
2+ Years in construction and project management within renewable energy
Proven ability to manage diverse and simultaneous projects.
Knowledge of Solar PV construction processes is advantageous
