We are seeking a Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) Project Accountant in Billerica Ma who can effectively manage the accounting and forecasting needs of several mid-sized construction projects. This role involves overseeing the financial aspects of assigned projects, which include tracking job costs, preparing accurate billing, and ensuring that cost projections are up to date.

Pay $75,000-$105,000

Responsibilities:

  • Review and manage subcontract documents
  • Manage contracts, amendments, and insurance bonds
  • Coordinate with project teams on change orders and budget revisions.
  • Assist with invoice processing and purchase order management
  • Manage the monthly project forecast process
  • Ensure timely management of accounts receivable and payables
  • Manage payments to subcontractors and vendors, verifying proper approvals and documentation
  • Monitor subcontractor compliance, including insurance, lien waivers, and other documentation
  • Develop and maintain positive professional relationships both internally and externally
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely and accurate cost reporting and revenue recognition.
  • Assist in project close-out: manage final billing adjustments, subcontract finalization, and other processes that confirm complete execution of the project contract.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 2-5 years with Construction Management at Risk Accounting System
  • Experience with software such as Sage, Timberline, and Procore
  • Knowledge of the construction industry and industry terminology
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with subcontractors, project managers, and owners.
  • Self-starter with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize effectively.
  • Understanding of the overall project execution process, including budgeting, project forecasting, cost control, schedule, anticipated cost, and project profitability.
  • Familiarity with construction and pricing components
  • Familiarity with construction industry insurance products.

Education:

  • BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
