Role Summary:

The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day execution of construction activities, ensuring all work complies with contract documents, safety standards, and project specifications. This role involves coordinating with contractors, monitoring schedules and progress, administering project documentation, and contributing to successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and facilitate pre-bid and pre-construction meetings with contractors and stakeholders.

  • Oversee and monitor construction activities to ensure alignment with design documents, contract specifications, and applicable regulations.

  • Track and evaluate contractor progress against the Critical Path Method (CPM) schedule; identify and address delays or deviations.

  • Review, process, and administer change orders, RFIs, and claims in coordination with the project team.

  • Maintain accurate daily construction logs, including photographic documentation and written reports.

  • Conduct site inspections to ensure quality control, safety compliance, and adherence to environmental requirements.

  • Coordinate with project engineers, designers, and inspectors to resolve field issues efficiently.

  • Assist in project close-out activities, including punch list development, final inspections, and documentation.

  • Support communication between contractors, consultants, and the client to ensure clear expectations and smooth operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Minimum 5–7 years of construction management experience, preferably in civil or environmental infrastructure projects.

  • Familiarity with CPM scheduling methods and software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).

  • Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, codes, and standards.

  • Experience administering change orders, RFIs, and claims.

  • Excellent documentation and reporting skills.

  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
