Large Scale Solar company invites suitably qualified, experienced, and results-driven professionals to apply for the position of Construction Manager for an exciting long-term solar renewable energy project.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading renewable energy company and play a key role in the successful planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale solar PV projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all on-site construction activities, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining compliance with all statutory, environmental, and client requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

 

Special Requirements

  • Plan, direct, coordinate, and manage construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Ensure all projects comply with SACPCMP standards, local building regulations, and health & safety requirements.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and quality control programs.
  • Lead and motivate project teams, including contractors, subcontractors, and site staff.
  • Liaise effectively with clients, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
  • Allocate resources efficiently and manage project risks proactively.
  • Prepare and present regular project reports, including financial and risk assessments.
  • Resolve issues and conflicts that arise during the construction process.

 

Computer Competency Requirements

  • Computer literate in MS Office

 

Languages (Written & Spoken)

  • Good command of English

Desired Experience & Qualification

Formal Qualification

  • Relevant qualification: BSc Eng / BTech Eng / BEng / N.Dip Civil Engineering.
  • Professional registration with SACPCMP as a Professional Construction Manager (Pr.CM).
  • Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in construction management, with a focus on civil projects.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, methods, and local codes.
