Introduction

 

Kendrick Recruitment is looking for 2 experienced Construction Managers (Buildings) to join a major USD 750 million greenfield infrastructure project in Rwanda.

This exciting international opportunity is ideal for experienced South African construction professionals who enjoy being hands-on, leading large site teams and delivering major building projects.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the construction of large commercial and hospitality buildings, from foundations to completion.

  • Manage subcontractors, site teams and daily construction activities.

  • Ensure projects stay on schedule, within budget and meet quality standards.

  • Maintain strict health, safety and environmental standards.

  • Work closely with Civil and MEP Construction Managers.

 

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience managing large-scale building construction projects.

  • Experience in commercial, retail, hospitality or mixed-use developments.

  • Experience on major mining, roads or dam projects is an advantage.

  • Relevant qualification in Construction Management, Building or Civil Engineering.

  • SACPCMP registration is advantageous.

  • Strong leadership skills and a hands-on, site-based approach.

  • Must be available to relocate to Rwanda immediately for at least 22 months.

 

Package & Remuneration

Salary & Benefits:

  • USD 6,000 NET per month (after tax).

  • All-inclusive salary — accommodation and transport are paid from this amount.

  • Free accommodation and transport for the first 14 days.

  • Flights to Rwanda at the start and home at the end of the contract.

  • Employer-arranged and funded work permit.

  • Local medical cover.

  • 22 days' annual leave plus Rwandan public holidays.

  • Monday to Friday working week.

  • Minimum 22-month contract.
