Job Title Construction Manager
Work Location Address San Antonio, TX
Responsibilities: • Review construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, and 3D models to ensure constructability and compliance with project requirements.
• Evaluate and support the design of temporary construction structures, including scaffolding and concrete formwork.
• Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules to ensure timely completion of construction activities.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to optimize resource utilization and project execution.
• Conduct site inspections and quality audits to ensure materials and workmanship meet project specifications, applicable codes, and industry standards.
• Monitor construction progress and identify potential risks, delays, or issues, recommending corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare project cost estimates, track budgets, and support cost control initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage change orders and assess their impact on project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Implement and enforce site safety programs, procedures, and compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Perform hazard assessments, safety inspections, and incident prevention activities to maintain a safe work environment.
• Prepare project reports, documentation, and status updates for management and stakeholders.
• Communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements: Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in industrial and/or commercial construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building materials, construction processes, and blueprint interpretation.
• Experience with project scheduling and construction management software, preferably Microsoft Project (MS Project).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design and drafting software.
• Knowledge of local building codes, construction regulations, and quality standards.
• Experience in project planning, cost estimation, budgeting, and change management.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to work onsite four days per week and support after-hours, weekend, and critical project activities when required.
• Proven experience managing construction safety, quality assurance, and project delivery in fast-paced industrial or commercial environments.
Preferred certifications:
Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
