Overview

 

Job Summary

The Construction Manager will be responsible for the field management of wireless telecom projects across multiple clients, providing turn-key network build services to customers. This position will cover the Dallas, Texas area and candidates should be located in that general area.

What Will You Do

 

  • Manage assigned field resources and projects to completion, ensuring that all field activities are coordinated and completed on time and within budget 
  • Develop an accurate project plan and budget for all assigned projects, modify as needed and ensure that accurate, complete documentation is delivered
  • Participate in internal deployment meetings with managers and team members to review the status of each job and implement changes as necessary to ensure timely project completion.
  • Customer facing role where he/she will provide customer(s) with comprehensive job status reports and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise.
  • Ensure accurate and complete files are maintained in order to deliver close-out documents to the customer in a timely manner in accordance with corporate and customer standards.
  • Create, assemble and verify documentation for billing on Sage. Understand project scope and customer service level agreements and manage them. Document work outside of the project scope and assist Program Manager in creating change orders.
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Will Need

 

  • Incumbent should be familiar with telecommunication providers and their requirements
  • 5 years of directly related leadership experience with a construction background, Telecom or general contractor experience, preferred
  • Experience constructing Small Cell, MACRO, and MACRO MOD projects for various carriers and/or tower companies.
  • Strong technical knowledge of various Telecom carrier’s construction standards
  • Strong consultative, organizational, and communication skills
  • Previous site management experience as well as experience maintaining a good relationship withthe client and suppliers
  • Hands-on experience with directing the activities of contractors and crews for mechanical,electrical, civil, and structural construction in an industrial telecom setting
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Project

 

Work Environment

Requires the ability to sit for extended periods, stand, bend, walk, communicate via telephone, computer and/or face-to-face contact, vision to monitor, and use basic office equipment such as a personal computer, copier and fax machines regularly during the course of work. May be required to operate vehicle for the Company business. Work is performed in and out of an office environment.
