We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager / Site Agent to lead the successful delivery of large-scale civil road construction projects.

Duties & Responsibilities


Job Description:
  • Manage civil engineering construction projects from planning through to completion
  • Oversee daily site operations and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards
  • Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and other stakeholders
  • Monitor project progress, programmes, resources and costs
  • Ensure construction activities comply with project specifications and contractual requirements
  • Identify and resolve construction challenges and project risks
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants and project stakeholders
  • Drive projects through to successful completion and handover
Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in civil construction, with strong road construction experience
  • Proven experience with COLTO/COTO Class 1 and Class 2 road projects
  • Experience managing 2–3 similar projects valued above R30 million
  • Strong project management, leadership and site coordination skills
  • Good knowledge of construction planning, scheduling and cost control
  • Proficiency in Candy and/or MS Project
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills
Qualification:
  • BTech or Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering, or BEng / BScEng in Civil Engineering
  • SACPCMP and/or ECSA registration
  • Professional registration will be advantageous
