Introduction

We are recruiting a Construction Manager with proven experience in roads and stormwater infrastructure projects to lead site operations in Randburg. This role requires a results-driven professional with strong expertise in civil engineering construction, site management, contract management, and infrastructure delivery.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead and manage road construction and stormwater projects from start to completion
• Oversee site operations, subcontractor management, and resource planning
• Ensure delivery within budget, programme, and quality standards
• Implement and enforce health & safety (OHS) compliance
• Conduct site inspections, quality assurance, and progress tracking
• Manage project schedules, materials, plant, and labour
• Handle site reporting, risk management, and problem resolution
• Ensure compliance with construction regulations, SANS standards, and contract requirements (FIDIC/NEC advantageous)

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Minimum 10+ years’ experience in Roads and/or Stormwater projects
• Proven experience managing large-scale construction sites and teams
• Must be professionally registered with South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP)
• Must be registered with Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) (Professional registration required – candidates will not be considered)
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, especially roads and stormwater infrastructure
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical plans
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license
• Must be based in or willing to work in Randburg and surrounding areas
• Available to start immediately
