Introduction

Our client is looking for an experienced Construction Manager to take responsibility for the successful delivery of major construction projects from planning through to completion.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong and commercially astute Construction Manager who can lead teams, manage multiple stakeholders and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage the full construction process from project planning through to completion.
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, contractors and subcontractors.
  • Manage project programmes, resources, budgets and overall project performance.
  • Monitor construction progress and ensure projects remain on schedule.
  • Manage contracts, variations, commercial matters and stakeholder relationships.
  • Identify and manage project risks, challenges and opportunities.
  • Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, quality and environmental requirements.
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders.
  • Drive high standards of workmanship and ensure projects are delivered to specification.

 

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • SACPCMP registration is essential.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects.
  • Experience across residential, commercial and/or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction planning, project controls and contract management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, programmes and multidisciplinary teams.

Package & Remuneration

R1 million – R1.45 million per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)
