Join Our Team as a Construction Manager.
The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing daily, on-site telecommunications and civil construction projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution. This role involves managing field operations, Aligning with project schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Experience in Civil and Network construction, including Horizontal Drilling, Excavation, Aerial Make-Ready and placement, cable jetting/blowing and splicing, is essential.
Responsibilities
- Apply and enforce the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP) to ensure compliance with HS&E standards, OH&S regulations, and applicable codes across all employees and subcontractors
- Ensure project materials are supplied and work is executed in accordance with the Project Quality Program
- Oversee daily construction activities for telecommunications projects in both Underground and Aerial environments, including fibre optic installation, shallow utilities, and related infrastructure
- Ensure all work is completed according to approved plans, specifications, and standards
- Develop, maintain, and drive project schedules in collaboration with the project team; ensure milestones and completion dates are achieved
- Supervise field employees and subcontractors; ensure work is planned efficiently and timesheets and Production Reports, are accurately coded
- Oversee fibre installation activities, including cable jetting/blowing operations
- Ensure quality execution of fibre splicing, testing, and documentation
- Lead project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to support project progression
- Maintain detailed daily reports tracking site progress, inspections, and key activities
- Mentor and support the development of project team members
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety policies
- Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on construction experience as a Construction Manager or similar direct supervisory role. Experience with Outside Plant construction or other telecommunications construction projects is preferred.
- Working knowledge of health, safety and environmental protection practices and procedures as they apply to common construction processes
- Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with multiple stakeholders, understand and interpret stakeholder needs and identify solutions
- Expert knowledge of MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Visio
- Ability to travel to various site-based projects if required
Working Conditions
- Physically demanding workload
- Work location: Work in locations that preclude the ability to return home
- 40 hours/week, with various shifts as assigned (morning, evening, weekend, and statutory holidays)
- Traveling is required
