POSITION SUMMARY:
The Construction Manager Trainee is a professional growth opportunity in the construction industry and with the company. As a Construction Manager Trainee, you will be responsible for assisting in the supervision, coordination and management of all assigned residential construction. This role will also support warranty-related operations and work closely with the Warranty Coordinator as part of the trainee’s development toward becoming a Construction Manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assisting Construction Managers with the construction of homes in a specified community and/or area
- Assisting in managing and collaborating with trade contractors and suppliers
- Adhering to production schedules, contractor schedules and cost control policies and procedures
- Ensuring compliance with company safety requirements, policies, procedures, and processes
- Completing all warranty requests for current homeowners in a timely fashion
- Ensuring job site cleanliness and assisting in completion of model/inventory maintenance
- Maintaining open and effective communication with the home office and customers
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Professional manners and a strong ethical code.
- New home construction experience a plus
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to build positive working relationships across all members in the organization.
- Ability to function productively in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment.
- Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive.
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 25 lbs.
